Great Corby, Cumbria, England

A view of Great Corby

Corby Castle

The castle is reputedly haunted by a spectre that has become known as “The Radiant Boy” or "The Shining Boy of Corby". The identity of the boy is not known, although it is believed to have a link with the Howard family. It is supposedly a bad omen for anyone to see this apparition, as you may gain power and fame, but you are fated to meet “a violent death”.

The castle is NOT open to the public.
